The NBC Agency and Mediaport Entertainment Executives Celebrate Success of The Cable Show 2008 in New Orleans
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Executives for The NBC Agency, the advertising agency serving media giant NBC Universal (NBCU), partnered again with Mediaport Entertainment, the global leader in music/media burning and digital download systems, at The Cable Show 2008. The tradeshow covered over 200,000 square feet of space, with almost 400 exhibitors of big-name providers of programming, technology, services and solutions demonstrating the latest (and greatest) in media technology.
“NBC Universal needed us to create a simple-to-use/quick-to-download system that would give the consumers the ability to enjoy the NBCU content while maintaining the intended DRM of the programming," said president of Mediaport Entertainment, Jon Butler. “That’s exactly what Mediaport delivered.”
The Cable Show, hosted by the NCTA (National Cable & Telecommunications Association), is the annual showcase and gathering place that unites the cable telecommunications industry for three concentrated days of networking, learning and collaboration. It's the ultimate opportunity for cable telecommunications professionals to discover new products, advances in technology, and innovative ways to increase customer satisfaction and grow their businesses.
Mediaport and NBCU have again teamed together to create both the hardware and software solution needed by NBC for The Cable Show display. Mediaport provided both the kiosks and digital software solutions to power the NBC Universal Digital content portion of the display.
