What is Programmatic?

In simple terms, programmatic is sales automation, and it comes with tools that close the gap between digital advertising and OOH, such as measurement, targeting, customization, and data.

Why Programmatic?

Programmatic Digital Out-of-Home (pDOOH) advertising allows physical advertising spaces to be listed on digital exchanges and sold automatically. This sales automation appeals to media agencies, which aim to control advertising budgets in the most efficient way. Additionally, using historical or real-time data for advertisements can improve customer experiences and achieve better audience targeting.

We advocate for integrating pDOOH into our digital sales strategy, anticipating its growing importance in the future.

What is Airport Media?

Although airports categorically fall under out-of-home advertising, we believe that they deserve to be positioned as Premium OOH, if not a separate segment.

Our Solution & Approach Media Port Programatik

As an airport-only media company, from the beginning, we have designed our solution by bearing a few critical points –

  • Programmatic is the future of advertising sales. In the coming years, combined with AI and new capabilities, it will be the primary buying channel for many brands.
  • We should avoid the potential cannibalization of prices and depreciation of the value of airport media.
  • We shouldn’t undermine the efforts of our sales teams, especially global and travel retail sales, due to their nature.

We value the expertise that comes with a stakeholder spirit. After a year-long journey that started in late 2023, Media Port has teamed up with DoohClick as its sales automation platform partner and Adform as its launch SSP.

We are live! Our network is available for programmatic sales.

As of Q2-2025, we successfully launched the Media Port Programatik for Riga Airport and proudly became the first media company offering pDOOH sales in Latvia.

What is next?

We're excited about the future of our programmatic offerings. Next, we will focus on expanding our inventory initially in Riga by adding DMON, enhancing our partnerships with leading programmatic technology partners, and continuously optimizing our technology to deliver even better results for our clients.

We plan to test pDOOH in Istanbul Airport on our new upcoming “Premium Departure Shopping Network” in the Bosphorus area, consisting of 65’’ DCLP+ units.
